MANZANITA - CART'M Recycling is changing its yard debris program.

The organization has been looking for alternatives to burning yard debris and wood waste because of new state restrictions.

With Western Oregon Waste now in charge of the trash hauling in North County, CART'M now will transfer yard debris on WOW trucks to the large-scale composting facility in Warrenton.

CART'M managers say they will be shipping to this facility until a better option arises.

People interested in setting up a chipping/composting operation adjacent to CART'M are welcome to discuss details with the executive director, Richard Felley, by calling (503) 368-7764 or submiting their written proposals directly to CART'M.
