Today, the Stations of the Cross and "Were You There" meditation will be held at 3 p.m. at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church, located at 1491 Grand Ave. A Good Friday service will be held at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, an Easter egg hunt will be held at 9:30 a.m. outside in the playground, weather permitting. If it is raining, the hunt will be in the school gym and auditorium at 1411 Grand Ave.

Also on Saturday, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults students will have a mini-retreat and rehearsal in the church at 2 p.m. Each student has a sponsor, who is asked to attend.

The students will be baptized at the 8 p.m. Holy Saturday Easter Vigil and Mass in the church and welcomed into the Catholic Faith. The choir will be directed by ChrisLynn Taylor.

On Easter Sunday, the 8:30 a.m. Mass lector will be Ralph Mansfield, and the greeters will be the Len Tumbarello Family.

The 10:30 a.m. Mass lector will be Bev Crosby, the greeters will be the Brian Faherty and Mark Gagnon families and Jill Faherty will handle the children's Liturgy. The 1 p.m. Spanish Mass lector will be Rigoberto Martinez, the translator will be Marcela Foeste and the guitarist will be Gail Cameron.

The St. Vincent de Paul food Pantry is in need of boxed breakfast cereal and canned tuna.

All services will be held in Astoria this weekend. There will be no bingo on Easter Sunday.
