Did you always want to go to college but weren’t sure if it was for you? Did you postpone going to college and never get around to starting? Have you wondered if you could succeed as a college student?

If you ever thought about attending college, now is your chance. Clatsop Community College is offering a College Survival and Success class (College Sampler) from Tuesday to May 23. Students will meet from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays for five weeks to earn three college credits. The CCC Foundation is providing tuition and fee scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 20 students who have not previously attended college.

During this unique opportunity, students will develop attitudes, skills and strategies known to promote college success, including goal setting and time management. Personal skills such as critical and creative thinking, note taking, study techniques and test taking will also be addressed. Participants will learn about their personal learning styles and about available college resources that can support ongoing success.

To apply for this opportunity, contact Stephanie Carlson at 503-338-2440 or scarlson@clatsopcc.edu for the College Sampler Application.

CCC is an affirmative-action, equal-opportunity institution.
