Hope House of Lutheran Community Services will hold a free eight-week workshop, “Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma,” for parents, caregivers and foster parents, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, today through June 26, at the Crossroads Community Church Fellowship Hall, 40618 Old Highway 30 in Svensen.

Participants will learn more about how trauma affects children’s development and  behavior, how to more effectively parent a traumatized child, and how to advocate for the child’s trauma-specific needs.
