A free screening clinic for children who could benefit from orthopedic or burn/scar care will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the East Wing at Columbia Memorial Hospital, 2200 Exchange St., Astoria.

The Shriners Hospital for Children offers free care for children with bone, joint and muscle problems; spina bifida; scoliosis; hip disorders; hand and foot disorders; skeletal growth abnormalities; cleft lip/palate; and burn scars.

Children from birth to age 18 with any of these disorders are encouraged to attend the screening. All medical care at Shriners Hospitals for children is provided free of charge. For information, call Ken Rislow at 325-5754.
