CLATSKANIE — The Clatskanie K9 Foundation, the Clatskanie Police Department and the Clatskanie Citizens Emergency Response Team will host a Motorcycle Poker Run Sept. 17 to raise funds to support the Clatskanie Police Department’s K9 Program.

The Clatskanie Police Department has a drug detection dog named Angie. She is a 4-year-old Golden Retriever trained to detect methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy.

The poker run is a 130-mile trip through scenic areas of Columbia, Washington and Clatsop counties. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., at the Clatskanie Legion Hall, 930 N.E. Fifth St. in Clatskanie. All motorcycle parking will be in the Legion Hall parking lot area.

Colvin’s Pub and Grill and Humps Restaurant, located on Nehalem Street in downtown Clatskanie, will have breakfast specials before the ride.

The poker run will end back at the Clatskanie Legion Hall at 4:30 p.m., where there will be prizes awarded and a barbecue. The first-place winner of the poker run will receive a Mossberg 930 Semi Auto 12-Gauge Security Shotgun; the second-place winner will receive a Traeger Junior Barbecue; and the third place winner will receive a $50 Visa gift card.

Participants of the ride can also purchase raffle tickets for a 50-50 drawing and/or Bug Bullseye cards for a Bug Bullseye contest at check in. Other gifts donated by Columbia River Honda and Old School Choppers and Pro Caliber will be given away during the barbecue.
