At the Astoria Labor Temple, Bob Kyle of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local No. 49, was unanimously elected president of the Clatsop-Tillamook Central Labor Council on Feb. 19.

Dave Ball of the Construction and General Laborers Union was unanimously elected vice-president. Re-elected as secretary was Stacy Chamberlain of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Local No. 2746. Rita Gildner of the United Steel Workers Union was re-elected treasurer.

Kyle and Ball were sworn in by out-going president Tom Reneqe of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Local No. 50.

Oregon Labor Commissioner Dan Gardner, who was in the area, stopped by the meeting to converse with the members of the council.
