The Columbia Memorial Hospital Lower Columbia Hospice received a $5,000 award through the 2008 Partners in Health Safety Net Funds provided by Providence Health and Services.

The funds will be used solely for the provision of hospice care to residents of the North Coast service area during 2009.

"We are pleased to receive this money to help provide hospice care for the community in the North coast region. To be chosen by Providence Health and Services and the 2008 Partners in Health Safety Net Funds is quite an honor," said Sheila Dyer, manager of the CMH Lower Columbia Hospice program. "It is in partnership of with this fine organization and many others that we are able to continue to provide hospice services to our community."
