Meetings can be productive or not - and everyone complains about them. A Clatsop Community College workshop is scheduled to help change that.

Aaron Olson, the 2002 Department of Public Safety Standards and Training Regional Trainer of the Year will present "How to Facilitate Productive Meetings" from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 20 at the main CCC campus in Astoria.

Cost of the workshop is $57. Preregistration by Wednesday is required.

The grant-writing workshop "Write a Winning Grant Proposal" will be presented by CCC from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 22 at the college's South County Center at 1455 N. Roosevelt (U.S. Highway 101) in Seaside. Those attending will learn how to prepare a grant proposal for submission to a private foundation or government agency. Successful grant-writers Randy Collver and Charlotte DeWitt will share their expertise. Cost of the workshop is $50 and the senior discount rate is $38.25.

Space is limited and preregistration is required by Oct. 14.
