Clatsop Community College will be closed all day Monday.

More details are coming in about the troubles encountered by emergency crews during the weekend.

On Sunday, the Warrenton Fire Department helped a man who was injured when he fell on South Main Avenue at 11:28 a.m.

Ice-covered trees and branches started falling Sunday causing small fires, traffic disruptions and possibly some power outages. At noon Sunday a tree limb fell on a power line on Northeast Skipanon Drive in Warrenton and started sparking and burning. The Warrenton Fire Department responded.

At 2:39 p.m. fallen trees were reportedly blocking the north entrance to Fort Stevens State Park. At 4:26 p.m. Sunday, Astoria Public Works and Pacific Power were notified that a tree was leaning into some wires at 11th Street and Kensington Avenue. Also at 4:26 a tree was hanging low on U.S. Highway 30 just east of the turnoff to Clatsop Community College's MERTS campus, east of Astoria, and a little later there was a report of two fallen trees there.

The Astoria Fire Department responded to a transformer fire in the 5100 block of Lief Erikson Drive at 5:52 p.m. At 6:27 p.m., a tree was down at 54th Street and Lief Erikson and at 7:19 p.m. a tree was down on Highway 30 in Knappa. Another tree went down at 8:45 p.m. on Williamsport Road in Astoria. During the night trees were down in the John Day area.
