Clatsop Community Action is soliciting community input on how it should spend certain state and federal funds.
The state of Oregon and the federal government distribute anti-poverty funds to administer programs and support low-income individuals. Every two years, Clatsop Community Action must develop a plan for allocating the discretionary portion of the anti-poverty and homeless assistance funds. "Although funds are limited and likely to be further reduced in the next two years, we still feel it is important to obtain community input on spending priorities," said Dwayne McQuilliams, CCA executive director.
At the regular board of directors meeting March 20, the agency will accept comments on how the anti-poverty funds should be allocated. Anyone with a desire to comment on the funding should call McQuilliams at 325-1400 to schedule a time for presenting their comments.
