ILWACO, Wash. - A public forum featuring Pacific County government leaders and health service providers Sunday will address community health issues affecting the Long Beach Peninsula and Naselle.

The South Pacific County Community Health Forum will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Ilwaco Heritage Museum, 115 S.E. Lake St. Introductions will be by Mike Dickerson, deputy director of Shorebank Enterprise Pacific, and Matt Winters, publisher and editor of the Chinook Observer, will be the moderator.

Forum panelists include U.S. Rep. Brian Baird, Family Health Center Executive Director Dian Cooper, Pacific County Sheriff John Didion, Pacific County Commissioner Pat Hamilton, Ocean Beach School District Superintendent Tom Lockyer, Ocean Beach Hospital CEO Jim Robertson, Timberland Regional Support Network Clinical Director Ann Rockaway, Senior Citizen's Information & Assistance Case Manager Doug Sheaffer and Pacific County Health Department Director Kathy Spoor.

The health forum is designed to help the community understand and access health-related services available to people on the Long Beach Peninsula and in the Naselle area. Sponsors of the event are the Chinook Observer, Shorebank Enterprise Pacific and KMUN Public Radio.
