Wood Available - To help low income families meet their heating needs, Clatsop Community Action, in conjunction with the Clatsop County Sheriff's Office, is making wood available at a reduced cost. A small pick-up load is $10 and a standard size pick-up is $20. The Sheriff's Office will load the wood on the day of the woodlot. CCA is currently scheduling woodlot dates in June. 4-H Camp Set - The 4-H Summer Slumber Camp still has openings for youths who just completed fourth through seventh grades. The two-day camp out, located at the Klaskanine River RV Park, 88590 Highway 202, will start at 6 p.m. July 10 and end at 9 a.m. July 12. The cost is $55, which includes a T-shirt. Campers do not have to be 4-H members to attend. Activities include tent camping, outdoor cookery, crafts, campfire, games, relays and more. Space is limited. The registration deadline is June 27.
