Wrong Speaker Named - Because of a reporter's error, a story in the March 17 edition of The Daily Astorian incorrectly attributed a statement to Port Commissioner Jack Bland about the Oregon LNG liquefied natural gas project lawsuit against the Port. At a Port commission meeting March 16, former Clatsop County Commissioner Tim Gannaway told the board:?"What we're dealing with is gorillas wrestling with men. This is not going to go well for the Port." The Daily Astorian apologizes for the error.

Web Site Name Wrong - Because of an editorial assistant's error, author Sage Cohen's Web site was listed incorrectly in a story about the Manzanita Writers' Series in today's Coast Weekend. The correct Web site it (www.sagesaidso.com). The newspaper regrets the error.

Background Information Incorrect - Because of incorrect information received, a story, "College chooses six to look at for president spot," that ran in Wednesday's Daily Astorian contained an error about Larry Galizio's work history. Galizio worked for a total of 16 years as instructor and director of forensics (speech and debate) at Portland Community College. Galizio is a semifinalist for the president position at Clatsop Community College.
