A planned electrical outage will interrupt service at the Clatsop County Public Works main office in Astoria for one to three hours Friday. The outage will start about 1:30 p.m. so crews can connect electrical service to the new surveying crew office.

During the outage, computer and routine phone services will be down. A phone line has been set up for emergency calls at 325-9312. Staff will assist customers over-the-counter at the office at 1100 Olney Ave. The outage will also affect the Astoria area shop next door.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this will cause to our customers," Public Works Director Ed Wegner Jr. said.

Clatsop County Public Works' main office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
