Tuesday a multi-million dollar state ad campaign will begin across Oregon. The purpose is to introduce people to the state's new health insurance marketplace -- Cover Oregon.

Oregonians who don't get health coverage through Medicare, their employer, or the Oregon Health Plan will have to shop for new policies next year, as the federal health care law requires.

Cover Oregon is a marketplace where residents and small businesses will be able to buy health insurance. Its ad campaign will run through October and cost more than $3 million.

Amy Fauver is with Cover Oregon. She says federal grants are funding the ads.

"We don't receive any other funds. All of our funds are from the federal grant dollars. So there is no state dollars involved in this project," Fauver says.

Fauver says the TV and radio ads feature local artists interpreting the phrase "Long Live Oregonians."
