Clatsop County Department of Community Development wants local organizations to know about a state program offering grants of up to $200,000 for pedestrian and bicycle improvements.
Applications for the Oregon Department of Transportation Bicycle and Pedestrian Program grants may only be submitted by a city, county or ODOT office. Only one application per city or county will be accepted.
Organizations with proposed projects should contact their appropriate government to consider submitting an application.
Eligible projects include sidewalk infill, pedestrian crossings, intersection improvements and minor roadway widening for bikeways. Projects must be located within existing street, road or highway right-of-way.
Applications are due by Aug. 30. Applicants will be notified of results by February 2003.
