CATHLAMET, Wash. - The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has announced that Deep River in Wahkiakum County, from the mouth to the town bridge, will be closed for salmon and steelhead fishing from Saturday through June 15.

The fisheries below Bonneville Dam, including Select Areas, are close to the preseason guidelines for spring chinook prior to a run size update. Fisheries are being managed conservatively so as not to exceed the preseason guidelines.
