WARRENTON After a high volume of drug activity was reported on Southwest Alder Court in Warrenton, the Clatsop County Drug Task Force busted five people for charges related to heroin and methamphetamine.
The search warrant was executed Tuesday evening, following an investigation in which detectives witnessed multiple subjects known to be involved in drug use frequenting the residence.
Upon arrival at the home, multiple subjects were interrupted in the process of smoking heroin, sometimes referred to as Chasing the Dragon.

During a search of the residence, detectives with the assistance of the Clatsop County Drug K9 Unit located and seized heroin, methamphetamine, scales, packaging material and other drug-related paraphernalia.
Detectives also located and seized stolen property, including $2,250 in U.S. Savings Bonds and evidence of identity theft linked to different areas of Oregon and Washington.
At the residence, detectives arrested Lindsey Niccole Poulsen, 22, of Warrenton, for possession of a controlled substance heroin, possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine, delivery of a controlled substance heroin and delivery of a controlled substance methamphetamine, with charges of identity theft and possession of stolen property pending further investigation.

Detectives learned Douglas Michael May, 43, a target of the investigation and a resident on Southwest Alder Court, had left the residence with his nephew, Steven Earl Kerr, 31, of Port Orchard, Wash., just prior to the execution of the search warrant. Deputies were able to locate both subjects on Mudd Lane in Astoria, and with the assistance of the Clatsop County Patrol K9 Unit were able to apprehend May as he attempted to escape.
May was arrested and lodged at the Clatsop County Jail on charges of delivery of a controlled substance heroin and delivery of a controlled substance meth, with charges of identity theft and possession of stolen property pending further investigation.
Kerr was arrested and booked at the Clatsop County Jail for possession of stolen property and released because of jail overcrowding.
