Duane "Tony" Allen Hanson was born on Sept. 5, 1954 the 5th child of Ervin and Elaine Hanson, passed away suddenly of a head injury on Oct. 3, 2011 in Seaside.

Duane spent his first thirty-five years as a dairy farmer on the family farm on Grandview Road in Ferndale, Wash.

Called "Tony" by his family and friends, he moved to Seaside in 1999 to be with his mother and father and began what was to become his passion in life; a dog breeding business with Min Pins.

He spent these last 12 years, starting with Cocoa, raising and selling Min Pins in the Northwest from the family home on Highway 101 in Seaside.

Tony attended the North Coast Community Church of Seaside. He is survived by his mother, Elaine, Seaside; sister, Delores and Denny DeMeyer of Lynden, Wash; sister Dalinda Race of Ferndale, Wash.; and brother Daniel and Lorraine Hanson of Ferndale, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by father Ervin, sister Diane Lancaster, and brother Darryl.

Graveside services will be held in Ferndale, Wash., at the Enterprise Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Birch Bay Bible Community Church building fund, Blaine, Washington.
