WARRENTON - Deb Treusdell from the Oregon Emergency-Preparedness Outreach, a division of Sterling Concepts and Communication Inc. will talk about emergency preparedness education in regard to storms, earthquakes, floods, power-outages and other natural/man-made emergency situations at noon Monday at the Warrenton Community Center, located at 170 S.W. Third St., during the regular senior lunch program. The meeting will be open to anyone in Warrenton and surrounding areas.
Treusdell will speak about how coastal communities are unique in their vulnerability to large tsunamis caused by earthquakes, and how the recurrent nature of these events requires that residents and visitors be prepared for what to do. She is also interested in hear "storm stories" from last December's storm. She plans to come early to be available to get to know the area's needs.
