Oregon Department of Transportation crews will clear fallen trees, limbs and other storm debris this week on U.S. Highway 26 (Sunset Highway) from mile post 22 to milepost 1. Crews will work westward until the highway is clear.

Expect delays as one-way traffic will be controlled by flaggers while work is ongoing during daylight hours, beginning at 7 a.m.

Also this week, work will continue on the Youngs Bay Bridge project, which consists of repairing structural members, upgrading electrical and mechanical components and painting the bridge over Youngs Bay.

The scheduled work includes installation of new electrical equipment, conduit and wiring at the machinery and operator houses.

Currently, the lift span of the bridge is operating on temporary motors which will result in longer delays during bridge openings for marine traffic.

Youngs Bay Bridge closures to all traffic are expected to occur between Sunday night and Friday morning from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. A detour route will be provided along U.S. Highway 101 Business and West Marine Drive over the Old Youngs Bay Bridge and the Lewis and Clark Bridge. Expect minor delays.
