It’s been several months since the heart health initiative study was introduced to women in Clatsop County.

A partnership between Oregon Health and Science University and Columbia Memorial Hospital for the study surveyed women in Warrenton and Astoria earlier this year, collecting data in hopes of better understanding heart disease in women.

Now, the hospitals will host a community meeting to share initial findings, gather feedback from the community and discuss the next steps. The event will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 25 at Clatsop Community College’s Columbia Hall in room 219.

The event will offer insights about the future prevention of women’s heart disease in Clatsop County. Light refreshments will be provided. Participation is voluntary and attendance is limited to 90.

To RSVP contact Allison Fryman, research assistant, by e-mail at or 503-494-2947.
