SEASIDE — Clatsop Community College will offer free and low-cost adult education and family literacy classes at its South County Center, 1455 N. Roosevelt in Seaside, beginning the week of Sept. 26.

Free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes are scheduled  from 3 to 6 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays. GED classes are 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. A small one-time fee for GED classes can be waived if students cannot pay.

In addition, free literacy services are available in the Seaside/Cannon Beach area through the College’s Volunteer Literacy Tutor Program. These services are designed for people wanting to upgrade their basic reading, writing and math skills or to learn English.
