During October, Full Circle Pottery, a paint-your-own-pottery studio, will donate 20 percent of its total sales to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

"Every woman is a possible victim of breast cancer," said Karen Goodrich, owner. "The statistics are really sobering. One in eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Continued research is a crucial step in fighting this disease and finding a cure." Breast cancer not only affects women; 1,600 men will also be diagnosed this year.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. "Artists of every age and ability will be able to have fun while helping to raise money in the fight against breast cancer. I'm pleased to be able to offer my support for this cause."

Full Circle Pottery is at Pier 11 in Astoria. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call 338-5456.
