Former manager of the River Theatre, MEG PATTERSON (pictured, top), has had two surgeries since her cancer diagnosis, which is now at Stage IV with bone metastasis. She needs funds to begin a three-week treatment that is not covered by insurance.
"The good news is that I am now more than 50 percent to my goal in raising funds for my breast cancer treatment, which begins next week," Meg wrote to the Ear. Last weekend, "in an amazing show of generosity, my friend CANDICE WHITE and her family held a car wash in my honor and raised more than $400! And it was a perfect sunny day."
Meg wants to "thank everyone profusely, especially Candice White and Vince Williams, who provided the venue" for the success of the event.
