Broker gets GRI after finishing programGEARHART -Realtor Marianne Pittard, of Gearhart, has been granted the professional designation GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute) by the Oregon Association of Realtors. The institute is a program of the National Association of Realtors that is administered by the state associations.

To receive the GRI designation, students must complete three week-long courses and pass an exam at the end of each session. Curriculum includes real estate finance, law, the realtor code of ethics, taxation and communication skills.

Pittard is a member of the Clatsop Association of Realtors and serves on the board of directors. She is affiliated with North Coast Realty in Gearhart, where she was recognized as the 2004 Broker of the Year.
