KNAPPA - No letdown for the Warrenton girls basketball team. One night after clinching the Lewis & Clark League championship, the Lady Warriors scored a 63-25 nonleague win over Knappa Thursday.

The Loggers brought a two-game win streak into the game, but the Warriors - one of the best teams in the state at the 3A level - had no trouble in scoring their 20th straight victory to close out the regular season.

Knappa will host Corbett in a loser-out district playoff at 6 p.m. Tuesday, followed by Portland Christian vs. Knappa boys.

The Warriors have more than a week off before playing either Rainier or Portland Adventist for the Lewis & Clark League's No. 1 seed to the state playoffs.

Warrenton built a 34-9 halftime lead on the Loggers in Thursday's game, then extended their advantage to 58-19 after three quarters.

Brooklyn Campbell poured in 27 points with five steals, and Lauren Dove added 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Warriors, 24-1 overall. Jordane Marxer contributed eight points, eight steals and eight assists.

Kaitlyn Junes and Victoria Lindgren scored six points apiece for the Loggers.

St. Paul 57,

Jewell 34

JEWELL - Julie Drescher scored 32 points to lift St. Paul to a 57-34 win over Jewell in Casco League girls basketball action Thursday.

Amber Meier led Jewell with 11 points and Jesika Kaczenski added nine for the Blue Jays, who finish the regular season today at home vs. Falls City.

Fourth-place Jewell will play third-place Perrydale in a district playoff at 6 p.m. Tuesday, with the winner earning the Casco's No. 3 seed to the state playoffs.
