In observance of Presidents' Day on Monday, all federal, state, county and city offices and services, including Astoria, Warrenton, Gearhart, Seaside and Cannon Beach city halls, will be closed. All U.S. Post Offices will be closed and there will be no mail delivery, except Express Mail packages.
Astoria, Jewell, Knappa, Warrenton/Hammond, Seaside (including Cannon Beach and Gearhart schools) and Ocean Beach School Districts' schools will be closed. Clatsop Community College will be closed.
The Astoria Public Library, Seaside Library, and all Timberland libraries in Washington, including Ilwaco, Ocean Park and Naselle, will be closed.
The Port of Astoria offices and services will be closed.
Garbage collection through Sunset Refuse and Recycling (covering Astoria, Seaside, Gearhart and Cannon Beach), Warrenton garbage collection, and Peninsula Sanitation (covering the Long Beach (Wash.) Peninsula) will not be affected by the holiday. Sunset Empire Refuse and Recycling and Peninsula Sanitation's transfer stations will be open.
The Sunset Pool in Seaside will be open with its normal Monday schedule, and there will be a free open swim from 2 to 3 p.m. The Astoria Aquatic Center will be open from noon to 4 p.m.: noon to 1 p.m. for lap, parent/tot and therapy swim, and 1 to 4 p.m. for open swim.
The Flavel House will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Carriage House open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Clatsop County Heritage Museum, Uppertown Firefighters' Museum and Children's Museum will all be closed. Fort Clatsop will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Columbia River Maritime Museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunset Empire Transportation ("The Bus") will be running on its normal schedule.
The Daily Astorian offices will be open and the newspaper printed and delivered as usual.
