Clatsop County Public Works crews expect minimal traffic delays on Hamlet Road next week while crews clean ditches and replace culverts.

Other work for the week includes crack sealing on Old U.S. Highway 30 and Valley Creek Lane, ditch cleaning on Walluski Loop and Little Walluski Lane, and brushing on Little Walluski Lane. No other traffic delays are anticipated.

Big River Excavating will continue cutting shoulders and ditches and adding rock for widening on Logan Road. The cutting of shoulders reduces lane widths to one-way traffic in some areas; motorists should use Lewis and Clark Road as an alternate route because delays may be up to 20 minutes.

Installation of driveway culverts will continue. Property owners will be contacted prior to their driveway culvert removal to allow time to move vehicles to the other side of the construction area. Pacific Power will continue putting up new power lines.

TFT Construction will begin paving Conroy Road Sept. 6. Other roads to be paved include Gearhart Lane, Cottage Road, and Hillila Lane. All paving should be completed in 10 working days.
