CANNON BEACH - The Haystack Rock Awareness Program's annual training session will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 2 at Cannon Beach City Hall.

HRAP volunteer Nancy Holmes is coordinating this year's training.

"Beginning with the geology and indigenous people of Cannon Beach, we move to tide pool creatures, from microscopic through large and rowdy, and on to bird identification and behavior," she said. "We also have a trailer full of special tools at our disposal."
