The Port Astordam Hemp Festival will be moving again, as the city of Warrenton has turned down the festivals proposal to host the event at the Hammond Marina during the Buoy 10 event.
The Hemp Festival, hosting Ziggy Marley and other musical acts, is planned for Aug. 25 and 26.
The dates of the 25th and 26th simply do not work because of the Buoy 10 fishing season and activity at the marinas, Warrenton City Manager Kurt Fritsch said.
Fritsch added festival organizers are looking to possibly change the dates of the festival to still use the waterfront spot.
However, Organizer Nick Clark said another location is already in the works.
There are 56 days until the festival is set to be held.
The original location proposed, Pier 3 near the Port in the city of Astoria, was not accepted and the festival organizers withdrew their application on their last day of possible approval 60 days before the event.
Astoria Deputy Police Chief Brad Johnston said their application was not complete.
Marleys concert is planned for Aug. 26. Tickets are available at Marleys website or at Portastordam.org
The event will also host tents of hemp merchandise and a food court.
