North Coast resident Andrea Kennet and Jenny examine a large buoy that washed up on the beach 2 1/4 miles north of the Peter Iredale shipwreck in Fort Stevens State Park Monday morning. The ball was approximately 4 feet in diameter and was covered with barnacles, mussels and other tasty treats for the sea gulls that flocked to it.
