James Everett "Jim" Boles, 82, of Seaside, died March 14.

He was born Nov. 13, 1927, in Koshkonong, Mo., to Elisha B. Boles and Lula E. Wilson.

Jim served for four years in the U.S. Marine Corps.

On June 25, 1949, he married Betty Bernice Brown in Bishop, Calif. She preceded him in death.

Jim was a fiberglass fabricator, retiring in 1989.

He was a member of the Grange and the American Legion.

Jim was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid rock hound.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Leanne Boles of Seaside, Ronald and Catherine Boles of Post Falls, Idaho, and Douglas and Renee Boles of Hillsboro; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother Richard Boles of Kansas City, Mo., and sister Mary Katherine Bench of West Plains, Mo.

A public memorial was held March 19 at the North Coast Family Fellowship and internment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Veteran's Fund, in care of Hughes-Ransom Cremation and Mortuaries, 220 N. Holladay Drive, Seaside, OR 97138.
