A former star athlete at Seaside High School, who will be released from jail today, has been ordered by a judge to have no contact with underage girls for five years.
Dylan Baxter Ford, 21, of Gearhart, was sentenced in Columbia County Court to serve jail time after being convicted of two counts of third-degree sexual assault.
Ford graduated from Seaside High School in 2006. He was a star baseball player during his high school years and won state championships for swimming.
Earlier this year, Ford was convicted after a trial. Circuit Court Judge Jenefer Stenzel Grant sentenced him to 30 days in the Columbia County Jail, with credit for time served. He also has to serve five years probation.
He was not required to register as a sex offender, although he must pay for and complete sex offender treatment approved by the Parole and Probation Office.
The judge ordered him to have no contact with the victim, who lives in Seaside, or her family, and have no contact with girls younger than 18 without the written approval of his probation officer.
Ford was also banned from possessing any pornography. The judge ordered him to stay away from places where children are likely to congregate, such as schools, playgrounds, parks, fast-food restaurants and video arcades.
