Austin may keep it weird, but Portland keeps it weirder.

Based off a number of lists, Austin-based Sparefoot Blog found that the City of Roses takes the title right away from Texas' Capitol city in a number of categories. Namely, we house more strange people, hipsters and hippies than Austin.

The City of Austin came up with the slogan first when the Austin Independent Business Alliance coined the phrase to promote small businesses in 2000. Other cities followed suit in 2003, but Portlanders took the demand to keep it weird seriously.

The blogger also found that we're also more dog friendly, pot friendly and bike friendly, which are also "weird" qualifiers based off sources like CNN, Travel and Leisure, the Daily Beast and others:
