Parents of Astoria children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1 are invited to attend the Capt. Robert Gray Elementary School kindergarten roundup May 17.

Children will tour the school while parents learn about regular public kindergarten as well as the full-day program offered for $230 a month, with some partial scholarships available.

Parents should bring copies of children's birth certificates, immunization records and information about any special health problems. They can choose to attend one of two sessions, 3 p.m. or 6 p.m., May 17 in the school gym at 785 Alameda Ave.
