In 1967 Martin Luther King gave a speech in Riverside Church, New York City. "Responding with Compassion" is one main theme of the speech, which will be presented at 1 p.m. Sunday at Grace Episcopal Church, 1545 Franklin Ave.

There is no charge for this event.

The speech is being presented in honor of King, who was born Jan. 15, 1929, and assassinated April 4, 1968, exactly one year after this speech was given.
