HAMMOND — The Astoria/Warrenton/Seaside KOA will hold a charity auction to support KOA Care Camps at 6 p.m. June 13 at 1100 N.W. Ridge Road in Hammond. The event is open to the public.

Care Camps are specialized facilities where children in treatment or recovering from cancer can attend real summer camps, free of charge, with all the specialized staff and equipment they need to enjoy a stress free experience.

Donations of 300 to 400 lots are needed for the auction. Anything from equipment, antiques or art to gift baskets and certificates are welcome. Donors will get recognition for their item at the auction, and online, and a tax-deductible donation. Information is also available about selling items at the auction.

The drop off deadline for auction items is 7 p.m. June 11 at the BigFoot Activities Building at 1100 N.W. Ridge Road in Hammond. Preview night will be from 4 to 8 p.m. June 12.

To make a donation directly to the Care Camp fund, cash, credit or checks are accepted year round at any KOA nationwide or online at www.KOAcarecamps.com
