The Lower Columbia Preservation Society offers a "Plaster Repair Workshop" from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the parlor of the historic Cherry house at 836 15th St. Participants are asked to enter through the driveway on Irving Street.

Christine "Cricket" Epperson, a licensed contractor, will demonstrate proper techniques to follow when repairing plaster walls. She will cover important topics such as estimating the time required to do the job, determining which tools and materials to use and figuring out how much preparation will be involved. Attendees will also learn how to understand when a project will need the services of a professional.

For more information about the workshop, call 325-4810. A map to the workshop can be found at (

The workshop is $5 for LCPS members, and $7 for nonmembers. For membership information, call 325-6273.
