LONG BEACH - The World Kite Museum and Hall of Fame will be holding a two-day workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on how to make and fly a 4 by 33 foot Kite Gypsy. Instructor Sam Huston describes this project as one of the "kitemaking enjoyables."

The kite has a flying crane applique and dramatic tails.

Participants need to bring a zigzag sewing machine and notions, a quarter inch wide two-sided sailmakers tape, a straight edge, a small good scissors for applique cut-away and a bigger scissors. Bring a friend and share equipment.

For more information and to sign up, call (360) 642-4020.
