The Good Friday Liturgy will be read at 7 p.m. tonight at Grace Episcopal Church, located at 1545 Franklin Ave.

The Holy Saturday Liturgy will be read at noon Saturday, and is the last service of Holy Week. Holy Saturday which ends at sundown, is the only day in the church year on which communion may not be offered.

The Easter Vigil service, the first communion of Easter, will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday. The service begins in a darkened church. Light returns with the lighting of the Paschal Candle, which remains lit through the Day of Pentecost. The stripped altar will be set, the organ played and Easter flowers brought out for display.

Both the 8 and 10 a.m. services on Easter Sunday will include music. A special cross will be out for children to flower with blooms brought from home gardens. Following the 10 a.m. service, there will be a special coffee hour and an Easter egg hunt for the children.

The labyrinth will be available for walking from 3 to 6 p.m. Easter Sunday. A labyrinth introduction is offered at 3 p.m. upon request. It takes an average of 30 minutes to complete the walk.
