The Astoria School Board seeks candidates for the vacancy at Position 2 left by Martin Dursse, who resigned earlier this month.

Any interested parties who have lived in the district for at least a year may download an application from the district’s website at, or pick one up from the district office — 785 Alameda Ave. — from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Applications are due at noon Jan. 19.

Applicants will be interviewed at a special meeting the week of Jan. 25. The first meeting for the appointed school board member would be Feb. 10.
