WARRENTON — The Clatsop-Tillamook Central Labor Council and Oregon Strong Voice – North Coast are again sponsoring a Labor Day Picnic from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 1 at the north shore area at Cullaby Lake in Warrenton. All are welcome to attend a family-style picnic outing to celebrate the accomplishments of working people and the last holiday before the beginning of the school year.

The picnic is held at the north shelter area, featuring a playground, roped off swimming area, sandlot volleyball court, horseshoe pits and a boat launch. There is a raffle, prizes and complimentary hamburgers, hot dogs, water and soda. Everyone is asked to bring potluck side dishes. Parking at Cullaby Lake park is $3, but otherwise admission is free.

The Central Labor Council is an AFL-CIO organization that represents the locals of many labor unions in the two counties. Oregon Strong Voice – North Coast, is a coalition of unions and community groups working to preserve a healthy economy and family-wage jobs.
