The Lower Columbia Diversity Project presents “Understanding Disability: Family and Community Stories,” a free conversation with Jill Crawford Hurt at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Boyington Building, 857 Commercial St. This LCDP event is part of Oregon Humanities’ statewide Conversation Project.

This is the focus of “Understanding Disability: Family and Community Stories.” Participants in this conversation will look at what they know of the stories of their own family, friends and colleagues and consider the sources of their perspectives. Stories contain themes of pride, oppression, resistance, failure or success, and offer people an opportunity to rethink their perceptions.
