ILWACO, Wash. — Urology services will be available at the Ocean Beach Medical Center in Ilwaco. Dr. Patrick Lassen of Longview Urology is working at the clinic Tuesdays.

Lassen will provide a range of urologic services, including treatment for incontinence, stones, erectile dysfunction and prostate enlargement.

“We are very pleased to have someone with Dr. Lassen’s experience and expertise serving our community,” said Geri Marcus, Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinic’s director of public relations and education. “We have a high number of retirees in our area. Having Dr. Lassen here will mean they won’t have to travel to receive treatment.”

Dr. Lassen was born in Eugene. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Southern Oregon State in 1986. After earning his medical degree at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU), he completed a general surgery internship and a urology residency at Willford Hall USAF/Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio in 1996.

A Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association, he served on the board of directors of the Society of Government Service Urologists. His special interests include laparoscopy, urologic cancers, pediatrics, vasectomy, vasectomy reversal and stone disease.

Dr. Lassen served in the U.S. Air Force as chief of urology services at Landstuhl Regional Center in Landstuhl, Germany, before returning to the Pacific Northwest to join Longview Urology in 1999.
