WARRENTON — Registration for fall classes, and orders for shoes and dance wear, are now being accepted at Maddox Dance Studio, 389 S. Main Ave. in Warrenton, which is celebrating its 65th year of instruction on the North Coast.

New this season is the Melody Movement class for children ages 2 1⁄2 to 7. The syllabus was developed by Jill Bridger of London, and emphasizes early learning skills using music, the alphabet, colors and props along with introducing ballet, tap and creative movement.

Jeanne Peterson, Emily Madsen and Cheryl Klatt will present the material. Alice Thompson, Carleta Lewis Allen, Kilee Kindred, Andrea Kaul, Heidi Thompson and Carole Chase round out the professional faculty. Pam Morimoto is the registrar.

Classes are forming in classical ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, acrobatics, modern and hip-hop. A new class will be ballet for beginning teens, tap for absolute beginner adults and a preschool age class at 5:45 p.m. Thursdays, to facilitate working parents schedules.
