Pacific Family Medicine announced recently that Clinic Manager Janet R. Mossman has earned the professional designation of certified medical practice executive from the American College of Medical Practice Executives. The designation demonstrates that Mossman has achieved board certification in medical practice management.

The college certifies an individual’s professional competence following rigorous essay and objective examinations that assesses knowledge of the broad scope of medical practice management skills including business operations, financial management, human resource management, information management, organizational governance, patient care systems, quality management and risk management.

Mossman has been with Pacific Family Medicine since August 2012. Since joining the practice, she has focused her expertise in steering new patient-centered programs, such as the clinic meeting “Meaningful Use” standards set by the Affordable Care Act. Besides her daily management responsibilities, she focuses on many industry standards by ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies governing healthcare delivery and rules of accrediting bodies. She continually monitors operations and programs while ensuring the very best care delivery to patients.
