Rebecca Sedlak graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oregon in June with a Bachelor of Arts in English and magazine journalism. This Wilsonville native spent two years working for her campus paper, the Oregon Daily Emerald, as a copy editor, copy chief, entertainment reporter and special sections editor. She also worked as a research intern for the Sustainable Food Trade Association in Eugene, and she maintains a cooking blog about food allergies.

Sedlak will pursue a career in magazine journalism, food writing or book publishing, and she is excited about her time this summer with The Daily Astorian.
