PORTLAND — Nancy Tarabochia-Hart has been hired as Portland area executive for First Citizens Bank. She assumes overall management responsibilities for the bank's operations in the state, including commercial, business and retail banking efforts.

The Oregon native grew up in Astoria, and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon in 1992. She started her career in Portland. From 2004 to 2006, she worked as a business banker for First Citizens, previously IronStone Bank, in Portland. Most recently, she worked in private banking at Key Private Bank in New York.

A 21-year veteran of the banking industry, she has a strong background in small business and retail banking as well as wealth management. In 2011, she received a certified wealth strategist designation from Cannon Financial Institute.

Tarabochia-Hart has served on the boards of nonprofit organizations such as Helping Hands, Sarasota Children's Museum and the Double H Ranch, a camp for children and teens with critical illnesses. She has been active in the local chambers of commerce and was honored in 2010 as a Woman of Excellence by the Albany Colonie Chamber.
